It goes without saying that you will want to look your very best on the big day!

Make Up:

The essential thing to remember when trying out different styles of makeup is that you want to look as natural as possible on the day.  If you are wearing a white or ivory dress beware of using deeper colours than are necessary.
A trained beautician or professional makeup artist will be aware of all such traps and you will find their advice invaluable.
Remember your make-up needs to last all day and it also needs to photograph well.

It is ideal to begin having facials every two or three weeks for the three months before your wedding.  This will get your skin used to them and there is time to get rid of all toxins, avoiding pimples.  Make sure that your last facial is no later than a week before the wedding.  If you don’t have the budget for the regular facials, have one facial about a month before the wedding and another two weeks after that.

Eyebrow shaping should be done a few days before the wedding so that ant ridges or irritations have time to disappear. You can still pluck out the odd hair that grows back. If you decide to wear false lashes they can take a bit of getting used to so spend a bit of time wearing them around the house for a few days.
Waterproof mascara may be a good idea if, like most brides, you are overcome by emotion at some time in the day.

To make the most of your smile it’s a good idea to have your teeth professionally cleaned and polished before the big day.  Whitening tooth paste may be a good idea.

Your hands are going to be photographed quite a bit and you will be showing off your new rings so better stop biting those nails!  If you decide on acrylic nails don’t get anything you’re not completely comfortable with.  They usually take a bit of time to get used to so get them on a couple of days before the wedding.  If you are going with your own nails, have them manicured every week for two to three weeks before the wedding.  Apply cuticle cream.

If you plan to have a fake tan, you should be sure to apply it several days before the wedding.  It takes time for the tan to develop and settle.

But remember beauty is not just skin deep! By eating better and becoming fitter not only will you look better on the big day, you’ll have more stamina to enjoy it more!
Perhaps you could consider joining a gym or begin a form of exercise you enjoy several months before the wedding.  It’s important you don’t crash diet a few weeks before the wedding.  You risk the chance of starving your hair, skin and nails of vital ingredients leading to them looking lacklustre and neglected.
